We had such an incredible experience with  Jenn Roberts, our doula. She helped facilitate an absolutely beautiful birth. She was very helpful giving us the resources needed for the questions we had along with her personal experience of her delivery before going into labor. I am extremely grateful for her support.  She helped us navigate in a positive manner the anxiety with the VBAC delivery. She was always a text or call away to answer questions or just talk. She helped us advocate for ourselves to safely remain in the comfort of our own home while things progressed. When we felt it was time, she came to the hospital and assisted me with all kinds of techniques to help me dilate naturally. She was very thorough in explaining how the techniques and stretches would help the dilation.  During the progression, she helped coach me in the exact way I needed. When the labor got intense, knowing that I could lean on her for support allowed me to put my full focus on pushing during active labor. She stayed with us for a while after the delivery to allow my husband some time to rest since the labor lasted 17 hours. My husband and I would have had very different experiences if it weren’t for her support throughout the entire process. The postpartum visit was also helpful. I was able to ask questions and recap the experience with Jenn. Overall, my experience with Jenn was truly wonderful! If we decide to have another child, I will absolutely be hiring Jenn again.
